Rain today and early this evening. Showers beginning overnight. Fog patches forming this evening and dissipating Tuesday morning. Visibility 1 mile or less in fog patches and in showers.

northward.
By 4:00 p.m. PDT today ridge located over BC interior.

At 4:00 a.m. PDT today frontal system located west of Haida Gwaii.
By 4:00 p.m. PDT today frontal system located on a line north-south
over northern Vancouver Island.

At 4:00 a.m. PDT Tuesday building ridge located southwest of the
offshore waters.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:44 AM PDT 23 September 2019 A front just west of Haida Gwaii will move onto the North Coast
This morning and reach Vancouver Island this afternoon.

Gale force southeast winds ahead of the front will shift to
Strong to gale force westerlies behind it. Over Bowie, the westerly
winds are expected to reach storm force this afternoon.

On Tuesday, a ridge of high pressure building offshore will give
strong westerlies to northern waters with moderate northwesterlies
In the south.
