Issued 4:00 PM PDT 5 May 2025 Tonight and Tuesday At 4:00 p.m. PDT today ridge located on a line northeast-southwestover the South Coast.
By 10:30 a.m. PDT Tuesday dissipating ridge located over the
South Coast.
At 4:00 p.m. PDT today frontal system located on a line north-south
over Haida Gwaii.
By 10:30 a.m. PDT Tuesday intensifying frontal system located over
Queen Charlotte Sound.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:51 PM PDT 5 May 2025 A frontal system over Haida Gwaii will weaken tonight. Southeasterlygale force east of Haida Gwaii will weaken through the evening.
On Tuesday morning this system will lie northeast-southwest through
Queen Charlotte Sound and is forecast to briefly intensify. South to
southeast strong to gale force winds in the vicinity of Northern
Vancouver Island late Tuesday morning will ease as the system weakens
as it tracks towards Vancouver Island.
High pressure will build in following the passage of the frontal
system. Strong to gale force westerly winds are forecast to develop
Tuesday evening through eastern portions of Juan de Fuca Strait.
