Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 AM PST 5 December 2020 Today Tonight and Sunday At 4:00 a.m. PST today frontal system located from Haida Gwaii
to Explorer.
By 4:00 p.m. PST today weakening frontal system located on a line
northwest-southeast over Hecate Strait.

At 9:30 p.m. PST tonight frontal system located west of the
offshore waters.
By 4:00 p.m. PST Sunday frontal system located from the Central
Coast to Explorer.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:45 AM PST 5 December 2020 A slow moving front will approach the North Coast this morning. The
front will stall and begin to weaken this afternoon as it lies
stretched from Hecate Strait to Vancouver Island. The front will
remain stalled tonight along the central waters where its winds will
weaken further. Gale to storm force southeast winds associated with
the front will continue today over most northern and central marine
waters today. These winds will ease to strong to gale force
southerlies tonight.

The next frontal system will arrive onto the offshore waters by early
Sunday morning then Progress into the coastal waters on Sunday. Storm
to gale force southeast winds will accompany the approach of the
front followed by gale force westerlies in its wake.
