Issued 9:30 PM PDT 5 October 2024 Tonight and Sunday At 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight quasi-stationary frontal system located
over the Central Coast.

At 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight frontal system located west of the
offshore waters.
By 9:30 p.m. PDT Sunday merging frontal system located over the
Central Coast.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:30 PM PDT 5 October 2024 A nearly stationary front over the Central Coast is generating a
swath too long of southerly gales over Eastern Queen Charlotte Sound,
Central Coast and west coast Vancouver Island. These winds will
persist for the remainder of the forecast period.

Another frontal system will approach tonight, bringing southerly
gales to offshore waters overnight and spreading gales into northern
and central waters throughout the day on Sunday. Localized storm
force southerly winds are expected near the headlands of west coast
Vancouver Island and Eastern Queen Charlotte Sound on Sunday evening
as this frontal system merges with the quasistationary system hung up
along the Central Coast.
