Issued 10:22 AM PDT 2 May 2025 A frontal system over Hecate Strait will move inland this afternoon.Ahead of the front, strong southeasterlies over northern and
Central waters will continue this morning before shifting to strong
westerly in its wake near midday. Winds will briefly rise to
southerly gale force near the headlands of Vancouver Island
And Queen Charlotte Sound around midday as the front passes.
Strong to gale force westerly inflow winds can also be expected over
eastern portions of Juan de Fuca Strait later this afternoon and
evening.
