north-south over Vancouver Island.

At 4:00 p.m. PST today trough located over the North Coast.
By 4:00 a.m. PST Tuesday trough located west of Vancouver Island.

At 4:00 p.m. PST today building ridge located over northern BC
interior.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:48 AM PST 16 February 2026 Gale force northwesterlies will continue across the northern, central
and southern offshore waters today and tonight.

An Arctic high pressure ridge will build over Northern British
Columbia this evening and continue pushing south on Tuesday.
Gale force outflows, with a risk of freezing spray, can be expected
through the mainland inlets along the North Coast on Tuesday through
Wednesday.
