Issued 10:30 AM PDT 7 October 2024 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 10:30 a.m. PDT today weakening frontal system located over theCentral Coast extending southward.
By 10:00 p.m. PDT tonight weakening frontal system located on a
line northeast-southwest over central Vancouver Island.
At 7:00 a.m. PDT Tuesday low located over northwestern Bowie.
By 9:30 p.m. PDT Tuesday low located near the Alaska panhandle.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:35 PM PDT 7 October 2024 A frontal system extending southwards from Cape Scott will weaken asit crosses Vancouver Island tonight. Ahead of the front, gale force
southeasterlies near will also weaken as the front progresses. Behind
the front, winds will shift to moderate southwesterlies.
A trailing trough of low pressure will give strong to gale
Force southwesterlies to Explorer tonight.
Meanwhile a low pressure centre over the Gulf of Alaska will approach
Northwestern Bowie tonight and move towards the Alaska Panhandle on
Tuesday. Moderate to strong southerlies are expected over most
northern waters except for Northern Bowie where gale force
southwesterlies are forecast Tuesday morning.
