Issued 4:00 AM PST 8 December 2025 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 4:00 a.m. PST today low 978 mb located west of Bowie.By 4:00 p.m. PST today departing low 980 mb located over the
southern Alaska panhandle.
At 10:00 a.m. PST Tuesday frontal system located southwest of the
offshore waters.
By 10:00 p.m. PST Tuesday frontal system located from Hecate Strait
to Vancouver Island.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:58 AM PST 8 December 2025 A frontal system moving through the northern waters today will bringstorm force westerlies across Bowie and the northern waters.
Hurricane force gusts are possible with this system, especially over
Bowie and west coast Haida Gwaii northern sections. Southwesterly
gales will develop across Explorer and the southern waters this
morning, spreading into Juan de Fuca Strait this afternoon. Over the
Strait of Georgia southeasterly gales are expected this afternoon.
Winds will ease tonight as the system moves inland.
Another front will approach the offshore waters on Tuesday, spreading
southeast gales to the central and northern waters. Winds will shift
to strong to gale force westerly behind the system Tuesday night.
