Wind diminishing to light this afternoon then increasing to southeast 20 to 30 early this evening. Wind diminishing to westerly 15 late this evening then becoming southeast 10 to 20 Monday morning. Wind increasing to southeast 20 to 30 near noon Monday and to southeast 35 Monday afternoon.

Issued 4:00 AM PST 26 January 2020 Today Tonight and Monday At 4:00 a.m. PST today low 994 mb located over southern Explorer.
By 8:00 a.m. PST today low 995 mb located over northern Vancouver
Island.

At 4:00 a.m. PST today low located west of Bowie.
By 10:00 p.m. PST tonight departing low located north of Haida
Gwaii.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:51 AM PST 26 January 2020 A trough of low pressure is moving through northern waters, bringing
gale force southerly winds to the region.

A deepening area of low pressure approaching from the south, will
cross Vancouver Island this morning. Strong to gale force winds
In the vicinity of this low are expected with marginal southerly
storm force winds over the North Strait of Georgia early Sunday
morning.

Another low pressure system will track through the northern waters on
Sunday. Ahead of the low, strong to gale force southerly winds will
develop over most northern waters. Winds will become strong to gale
force westerlies in its wake.
