over central Vancouver Island.
At 10:30 a.m. PST today departing low located over the North Coast.
At 4:00 p.m. PST today trough located on a line northwest-southeast
over the North Coast.
By 4:00 a.m. PST Monday trough located on a line north-south over
the Central Coast.
At 9:00 p.m. PST Monday approaching frontal system located over
Marine Weather StatementIssued 10:17 AM PST 25 February 2024 A trough of low pressure over Central Vancouver Island will track
towards the Southern BC Interior today. The trough will spread strong
to gale force westerly or northwesterly winds to parts of the
southern waters this afternoon then easing this evening.
Also, another trough of low pressure north of Haida Gwaii will track
towards the Central BC Interior today. Gale to storm force
northwesterly winds will continue over the northern, central, and
offshore waters today, tonight, and Monday. Strong to gale force
northwesterly winds will also develop over parts of the southern
waters, and Explorer Monday morning.
