Issued 4:00 PM PST 23 January 2021 Tonight and Sunday At 4:00 p.m. PST today frontal system located on a line north-southover Haida Gwaii.
By 4:00 a.m. PST Sunday frontal system located on a line north-south
over central Vancouver Island.
At 4:00 p.m. PST today building ridge located west of the offshore
waters.
By 10:30 a.m. PST Monday weakening ridge located on a line
north-south over Bowie.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:47 PM PST 23 January 2021 A frontal system will cross northern and central waters tonight thenreach Central Vancouver Island by Sunday morning. The system will
continue moving southward to lie over the Washington state by early
Sunday afternoon. A ridge of high pressure will remain over west of
the offshore waters through Monday morning.
Ahead of the front, strong to marginal gale force southerly winds
will develop. In the wake of the front and ahead of the offshore
ridge, strong to gale force northwesterly winds will prevail
Over most waters through Monday morning. The winds will ease on
Monday afternoon as the ridge of high pressure weakens.
