Issued 4:00 AM PST 12 November 2024 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 10:30 a.m. PST today frontal system located over Explorer.
By 10:30 p.m. PST tonight frontal system located over southern
Vancouver Island.

At 4:00 p.m. PST today low 987 mb located over northwestern
Explorer.
By 4:00 p.m. PST Wednesday low 984 mb located over Queen Charlotte
Sound.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:45 AM PST 12 November 2024 A frontal system will move into Explorer this morning and lie over
Southern Vancouver Island this evening. Ahead of the frontal system,
southeasterly gale force winds will develop across Explorer late
This morning and spread to the central and southern waters this
afternoon. Early this evening, southeasterly winds across central and
southern waters will rise to storm force except hurricane force near
the headlands of Vancouver Island. Winds over southern waters will
ease to southeasterly strong by Wednesday morning.

A low pressure system will move into Queen Charlotte Sound on
Wednesday, maintaining strong to gale force winds around the low over
central waters. Northwesterly gale force winds will develop over the
offshore waters and outer northern waters on Wednesday on the west
side of this low.
