over Haida Gwaii.
By 4:00 a.m. PDT Saturday weakening ridge located from Explorer
to the Central Coast.

At 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight trough located off Bowie.
By 10:30 a.m. PDT Saturday weakening trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over Hecate Strait.

At 5:30 p.m. PDT Saturday approaching ridge located over Bowie.

Issued 9:21 PM PDT 22 May 2026 Ahead of a ridge of high pressure, northwesterly gales over Johnstone
Strait and West Vancouver Island will ease early Saturday morning.

Gale force northwesterly winds will redevelop through Johnstone
Strait on Saturday afternoon and ease overnight.
