North Coast.
At 10:30 a.m. PST today building trough located west of Explorer.
By 9:30 p.m. PST tonight frontal system located from Queen Charlotte
Sound to Explorer.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 10:25 AM PST 6 February 2026 A cold front continues to moves towards Haida Gwaii, and is bringingsoutherly gales to central and northern waters this morning. Another
frontal wave this afternoon will cross Explorer which will keep the
southerly gales persisting over offshore waters. This wave will also
create storm force for the headlands overnight tonight.
As the frontal wave pushes southward over Vancouver Island,
southeasterly gales will develop over the inner South Coast waters
Saturday morning and will ease to strong by Saturday afternoon as the
frontal system moves inland.
