Queen Charlotte Sound.
By 4:00 a.m. PDT Thursday weakening ridge located on a line
northeast-southwest over Vancouver Island.

At 10:30 a.m. PDT today trough located on a line north-south
over Bowie.
By 4:00 a.m. PDT Thursday weakening trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over Haida Gwaii.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:28 AM PDT 17 July 2024 A trough of low pressure over Bowie this morning will move eastwards
today while weakening and reach Haida Gwaii overnight. Strong to gale
force southeasterly winds can be expected ahead of the trough today
over west coast Haida Gwaii. Winds will shift to strong northerly
In its wake.

A ridge of high pressure off Vancouver Island will result in strong
to gale force westerly winds through Juan de Fuca Strait this
evening.
