to Explorer.
By 4:00 p.m. PDT today quasi-stationary frontal system located on
a line north-south over central Vancouver Island.

At 10:30 a.m. PDT today trough located over western Bowie.
By 4:00 p.m. PDT today departing trough located on a line east-west
over Haida Gwaii.

At 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight frontal system located over western
Explorer.
By 10:30 a.m. PDT Wednesday departing frontal system located on
a line north-south over central Vancouver Island.

At 4:00 a.m. PDT Wednesday low located west of Bowie.
By 4:00 p.m. PDT Wednesday low located west of Haida Gwaii.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 4:03 AM PDT 15 October 2019 An intense frontal system over Hecate Strait will move eastward then
lie over an area stretching from Hecate Strait to Explorer this
morning. The front will approach the South Coast this afternoon.

Gale to storm force southerly or southeasterly winds will prevail
over most northern and central waters this morning, spreading to
The southern waters later this morning.

A trough of low pressure will quickly move into the offshore waters
early this morning bringing gale force southerly winds to most
northern and central waters by this afternoon.
