northwest-southeast over eastern Queen Charlotte Sound.
At 4:00 a.m. PST Friday low 998 mb located over western Bowie.
By 4:00 p.m. PST Friday low 996 mb located over Hecate Strait.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:13 PM PST 4 December 2025 An approaching frontal system will track across the offshore waterstonight and onto the mainland coast Friday morning. Ahead of the
front, strong to gale force southeast winds will develop over
offshore waters this evening and spread to northern and central
waters tonight. In its wake, winds will shift to southwest gales.
The trailing low pressure centre will cross Bowie Friday morning and
move to lie over Hecate Strait Friday afternoon. Strong to gale force
easterlies are forecast north of the low. Behind the low, gale to
storm force westerlies will develop over the offshore waters Friday
morning. Gale force west to northwest winds are forecast Friday
afternoon west of Vancouver Island and through Juan de Fuca Strait.
