Issued 10:30 AM PST 11 November 2024 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 10:30 a.m. PST today trough from 984 mb low located west of
Haida Gwaii.
By 4:00 p.m. PST today trough from 990 mb low located from Haida
Gwaii to Explorer.

At 8:00 a.m. PST Tuesday frontal system located over Explorer.
By 8:00 p.m. PST Tuesday frontal system located over the South
Coast.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:19 AM PST 11 November 2024 A trough extending from a low off Haida Gwaii will spread northwest
gale force winds across Explorer and Southern Bowie this
Afternoon. Winds will ease to westerly strong this evening.

Another frontal system will move into Explorer on Tuesday and March
towards Vancouver Island by Tuesday evening. Ahead of the frontal
system, southeasterly gale force winds will develop across Explorer
late Tuesday morning and spread to the central and southern waters
throughout the day. Winds will rise to southeasterly storm force near
the headlands of Vancouver Island Tuesday afternoon and early
evening. There is the potential for marginal storm force
southeasterlies across the inner South Coast waters.

Winds will ease to southeasterly strong across central and southern
waters by Wednesday morning with Explorer veering to southwesterly
marginal gale force by Wednesday morning in the wake of the frontal
system.
