By 4:00 a.m. PDT Sunday frontal system located over southern
Vancouver Island.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:47 AM PST 7 March 2026 An approaching frontal system will track across Haida Gwaii and moveonshore today. Ahead of the front, strong to gale force westerlies
over the offshore waters will spread to central and northern coastal
waters this morning. A brief period of storm force westerlies are
forecast to develop over Northern Bowie near midday today.
In the wake of the system, a long period of strong to marginal
westerly gales will persist through Tuesday.
