Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 9:30 PM PDT 15 May 2025 Tonight and Friday At 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight frontal system located on a line
northwest-southeast over Hecate Strait.
By 2:00 a.m. PDT Friday weakening frontal system located over the
Central Coast.

At 5:00 p.m. PDT Friday building ridge located west of the offshore
waters.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:21 PM PDT 15 May 2025 A frontal system stretching from Hecate Strait to the central
Coast will very slowly track eastward. By Friday morning the frontal
system weakens and moves inland. Ahead of the front, southeast gales
continue over parts of the northern coastal waters, and continue over
North Vancouver Island as well. Winds will gradually ease overnight.
