Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 PM PDT 13 October 2019 Tonight and Monday At 4:00 p.m. PDT today ridge located on a line north-south over
Haida Gwaii.
By 4:00 a.m. PDT Monday ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over northern Vancouver Island.

By 11:00 p.m. PDT tonight approaching frontal system located west
of Bowie.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:56 PM PDT 13 October 2019 A strong frontal system will approach the offshore waters this
evening and move eastward to lie over Haida Gwaii early Monday
evening. The front then continues its journey crossing the Central
Coast early Tuesday afternoon.

Gale to storm force southeasterlies will develop ahead of the front
over northern and central waters on Monday morning and reach northern
sections of west coast Vancouver Island Monday evening. Gale force
winds will continue down the rest of Vancouver Island on Tuesday.

A second low pressure system will quickly move into outer waters
early Tuesday morning bringing gale force southerly winds.
