Issued 9:30 PM PST 1 December 2022 Tonight and Friday At 9:30 p.m. PST tonight quasi-stationary ridge located over
BC interior.

At 9:30 p.m. PST tonight low located over southwestern Bowie.
By 9:30 p.m. PST Friday departing low 998 mb located south of
Explorer.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:18 PM PST 1 December 2022 Strong outflow winds through the mainland inlets will increase to
To gale force overnight as the Arctic ridge of high pressure rebuilds
over the BC Interior. The outflow winds over the Central Coast will
continue to increase to gale to storm force Friday afternoon.

Meanwhile, a low pressure system will track southwards across
Southwest Bowie tonight and Western Explorer on Friday. Over northern
offshore waters, strong to gale force east winds will back to
northeast by Friday morning. Over central waters, southeast winds
will increase to strong to gale force overnight then back to
northeast Friday afternoon. Over southern waters, winds will rise to
gale to storm force southeast Friday morning. However, winds will
remain below gale force over the Strait of Georgia.
