Issued 10:30 AM PDT 9 August 2022 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 10:30 a.m. PDT today quasi-stationary ridge located westof Bowie.
At 4:00 a.m. PDT Wednesday low 1014 mb located south of Explorer.
By 8:00 p.m. PDT Wednesday weakening low located over southern
Explorer.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 10:25 AM PDT 9 August 2022 Ahead of a ridge of high pressure strong to gale force northerlywinds are expected to continue over southern portions of Hecate
Strait. Portions of Queen Charlotte Sound could see northerly gales
beginning this afternoon. Areas in the vicinity of Haida Gwaii can
expect these strong to gale force winds to develop this evening.
Winds should begin to ease to moderate to strong northerlies later on
Wednesday.
