Issued 4:00 PM PST 16 January 2021 Tonight and Sunday At 4:00 p.m. PST today weakening frontal system located on a line
north-south over Hecate Strait.
By 9:30 p.m. PST tonight departing frontal system located over
the Central Coast.

At 10:30 a.m. PST Sunday building ridge located over Explorer.
By 9:30 p.m. PST Sunday ridge located on a line north-south over
Queen Charlotte Sound.

At 9:30 p.m. PST Sunday approaching frontal system located west
of Bowie.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:47 PM PST 16 January 2021 A weakening Pacific front over Hecate Strait will continue to move
eastwards and land over the Central Coast late this evening. Over
West Vancouver Island North to Dixon entrances east, gale to storm
force southeast winds ahead of the front will shift to strong to gale
force southwest in its wake.

A ridge of high pressure will build onto Explorer Sunday morning and
to the Central Coast in the evening. Winds will ease to moderate to
strong southwest over the northern waters. Winds will become moderate
to strong northwest over the South Coast on Sunday.
