Wind southeast 25 to 35 knots increasing to southeast 35 to 45 early this afternoon except southeast 25 south of the Brooks Peninsula. Wind becoming south 25 to 35 after midnight except south 20 south of the Brooks Peninsula. Wind diminishing to west 15 late overnight except southeast 20 near the coast. Wind becoming variable 10 to 15 near noon Wednesday then becoming northerly 15 Wednesday evening.

Periods of drizzle changing to rain this evening and ending Wednesday morning. Visibility 1 mile or less in precipitation.

Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 10:30 AM PST 13 January 2026 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 10:30 a.m. PST today cold front located over the offshore waters.
By 2:00 a.m. PST Wednesday weakening cold front located on a line
north-south over Cape Scott.

At 1:00 p.m. PST Wednesday building ridge located over Queen
Charlotte Sound.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:23 AM PST 13 January 2026 A warm front north of Dixon Entrance will continue to push north.
Gale to storm force southerly winds have developed in its wake over
the northern and central waters.

A trailing cold front will move across the northern waters tonight.
Winds will shift to strong to gale force southwesterlies behind the
cold front, except storm force southwesterlies over Bowie. Winds will
ease to moderate to strong southwesterlies on Wednesday as a ridge
builds.
