Wind southerly 40 to 50 knots except south 60 near the headlands. Wind becoming northwest 40 to 50 early this afternoon except northwest 65 near the headlands. Wind diminishing to northwest 25 to 35 late this afternoon then becoming southwest 20 to 30 early this evening. Wind diminishing to southwest 10 to 20 late this evening then increasing to southeast 25 to 35 late overnight. Wind increasing to southeast 45 to 55 Saturday morning except southeast 65 near the headlands. Wind becoming southeast 35 to 45 Saturday afternoon then increasing to south 50 Saturday evening.

Periods of rain ending this evening. Rain Saturday. Visibility 1 mile or less in rain.

Issued 10:30 AM PCT 6 November 2026 Today Tonight and Saturday At 10:30 a.m. PCT today low located over northwestern Explorer.
By 3:00 p.m. PCT today departing low located over the Central Coast.

At 4:00 a.m. PCT Saturday frontal system located west of Explorer.
By 4:00 p.m. PCT Saturday frontal system located from the North
Coast to Explorer.

At 4:00 p.m. PCT Saturday intensifying trough located west of the
offshore waters.
By 4:00 a.m. PCT Sunday trough located from Haida Gwaii to
Vancouver Island.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:30 AM pct 6 November 2026 A deepening low over Northwestern Explorer will track across the
central waters and make landfall over the Central Coast this
afternoon. Gale to storm force southerly winds ahead of and south of
the low will shift to gale to storm force northwesterlies in its
wake. Near the mainland inlets of the Central Coast, winds will
increase to gale force outflow this morning, then shift to gale force
westerly inflow this afternoon as the low passes.

Ahead of the low, strong to gale force southerlies will persist this
morning over southern waters and the inner South Coast before
Easing this afternoon.

Another frontal system will track across the offshore waters Saturday
morning and onto the mainland coast in the afternoon. Ahead of the
front, gale to storm force southeasterlies will develop over the
offshore waters Saturday morning, then spread to most outer waters
and the inner South Coast in the afternoon.
