Wind southeast 45 to 55 knots except southeast 60 with gusts to 70 over northern sections. Wind becoming south 35 to 45 near noon then veering to southwest 25 to 35 early this evening. Wind diminishing to northwest 10 to 20 late this evening then backing to southwest 10 to 20 Monday morning. Wind increasing to southwest 20 to 30 Monday afternoon except southwest 35 near the headlands.

Periods of rain. Visibility 1 mile or less in rain.

Issued 10:30 AM PST 9 November 2025 Today Tonight and Monday At 10:30 a.m. PST today frontal system located over western
Haida Gwaii.
By 4:00 p.m. PST today weakening frontal system located from Hecate
Strait to Cape St. James then to Explorer.

At 10:30 a.m. PST today weakening ridge located over southern
BC interior.

At 9:30 p.m. PST tonight trough located west of the offshore waters.
By 10:30 a.m. PST Monday trough located over Bowie.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:31 AM PST 9 November 2025 An intense frontal system continues to generate gale to storm force
southeasterly winds late this morning over northern and central
waters. Winds will gradually subside to westerly moderate to strong
this afternoon.

A brief period of marginal southeasterly gales is expected over
northern sections of the Strait of Georgia late this morning and this
afternoon.
