Wind becoming southeast 30 to 40 early this evening then diminishing to westerly 15 to 25 late overnight. Wind increasing to northwest 30 to 40 Tuesday evening.

Issued 10:30 AM PST 23 November 2020 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 10:30 a.m. PST today warm front located over eastern Bowie.
By 4:00 p.m. PST today departing warm front located over Hecate
Strait.

At 4:00 p.m. PST today cold front located over Langara extending
southwestward.
By 4:00 a.m. PST Tuesday cold front located on a line
northeast-southwest over northern Vancouver Island.

At 4:00 p.m. PST today low 962 mb located over the Gulf of Alaska.
By 4:00 a.m. PST Tuesday low 975 mb located off the Alaska
panhandle.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:08 AM PST 23 November 2020 A warm front over Eastern Bowie will track across Haida Gwaii this
afternoon and onto the North Coast this evening. Gale to storm force
southeasterlies ahead of the front will shift to gale to storm force
westerly in its wake.

The trailing cold front will track southwards across Vancouver Island
on Tuesday. Ahead of the front, gale force southeasterlies will
develop over South Coast waters on Tuesday and shift to strong to
gale force westerly in its wake.

The associated low over the Gulf of Alaska will track southwards
across Haida Gwaii Tuesday evening. Storm force westerlies in its
wake will generate seas 10 to 13 metres over Bowie this evening then
spread to west coast Haida Gwaii and Dixon Entrance West overnight.
Seas will build to 8 to 10 metres over central waters on Tuesday and
to 6 to 8 metres over west coast Vancouver Island on Wednesday.
