Wind becoming northwest 15 to 25 near midnight except northwest 30 south of the Brooks Peninsula. Wind becoming northwest 10 to 20 Monday morning then backing to west 10 to 20 near noon Monday. Wind backing to southwest 15 to 25 Monday evening.

northeast-southwest over northern Haida Gwaii.
By 5:00 p.m. PDT Monday ridge from high located on a line
north-south over northern Vancouver Island.

At 5:00 a.m. PDT Monday cold front located on a line east-west
over northern Haida Gwaii.
By midnight PDT Monday cold front located from Hecate Strait
to Bowie.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:50 AM PDT 12 April 2026 A ridge axis over Northern Haida Gwaii will shift southeastward
today. Northwesterly winds off the west coast Vancouver Island will
strengthen to marginal gale force wind late this evening.
