By 5:00 a.m. PDT Sunday weakening low located over northern
Hecate Strait.

At 5:00 a.m. PDT Sunday building ridge located west of Bowie.
By 5:00 p.m. PDT Sunday ridge located from Explorer to Haida Gwaii.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:20 PM PDT 20 April 2024 An area of low pressure near cape St. James will move
Northeastward to lie over Northern Hecate Strait overnight while
weakening. Strong to gale force winds over Northwest Vancouver Island
this afternoon will spread into central waters tonight.
