Issued 4:00 PM PDT 22 March 2023 Tonight and Thursday At 4:00 p.m. PDT today ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over Queen Charlotte Sound.
By 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight departing ridge located over Vancouver
Island.

At 4:00 p.m. PDT today trough located over Bowie.
By 4:00 a.m. PDT Thursday trough located on a line north-south
over Hecate Strait.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:40 PM PDT 22 March 2023 An approaching trough of low pressure will track across the offshore
waters this evening and then Haida Gwaii overnight. Ahead of the
trough, strong to gale force southerlies have developed west of Haida
Gwaii this afternoon and will spread to northern and central waters
tonight. In its wake, winds will shift to strong to gale force
northwesterly tonight through Thursday, and then spread to Juan de
Fuca Strait Thursday evening as westerly gales.
