Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 10:30 AM PDT 14 May 2025 Today Tonight and Thursday At 10:30 a.m. PDT today ridge located on a line north-south over
eastern Bowie.
By 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight weakening ridge located from the Central
Coast to Explorer.

At 4:00 p.m. PDT today frontal system located off Bowie.
By 4:00 p.m. PDT Thursday frontal system located on a line
northwest-southeast over Haida Gwaii.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:16 AM PDT 14 May 2025 Ahead of a ridge of high pressure, westerly gales will re-develop
through Juan de Fuca Strait early this evening and then gradually
ease overnight.

An approaching frontal system will track across the offshore waters
tonight and lie over Haida Gwaii by Friday afternoon. Ahead of the
front, southeast gales will develop over northern coastal waters
Thursday morning and spread towards the northern tip of Vancouver
Island by Thursday night.
