To gale force overnight as the Arctic ridge of high pressure rebuilds
over the BC Interior. The outflow winds over the Central Coast will
continue to increase to gale to storm force Friday afternoon.
Meanwhile, a low pressure system will track southwards across
Southwest Bowie tonight and Western Explorer on Friday. Over northern
offshore waters, strong to gale force east winds will back to
northeast by Friday morning. Over central waters, southeast winds
will increase to strong to gale force overnight then back to
northeast Friday afternoon. Over southern waters, winds will rise to
gale to storm force southeast Friday morning. However, winds will
remain below gale force over the Strait of Georgia.
