Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 PM PDT 13 October 2024 Tonight and Monday At 4:00 p.m. PDT today frontal system located from the Central
Coast to Explorer.
By 10:00 a.m. PDT Monday weakening frontal system located on a
line north-south over central Vancouver Island.

At 4:00 p.m. PDT today trough located west of Haida Gwaii.
By 10:00 p.m. PDT tonight weakening trough located over the
North Coast.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 4:04 PM PDT 13 October 2024 A frontal system over the Central Coast will move across Northern
Vancouver Island tonight. Gale to local storm force southeasterlies
near the Central Coast and West Vancouver Island will ease to
moderate to strong westerlies in the wake of the system.

Meanwhile a trough of low pressure will give strong to gale force
southerlies west of Haida Gwaii through early this evening.
