Issued 10:23 AM PDT 16 May 2024 A ridge of high pressure will build over the offshore waters today.Moderate to strong westerlies off Haida Gwaii and West Vancouver
Island will increase to strong to gale force northwest this
afternoon. The northwest gales will gradually spread to Georgia
strait this evening and ease Friday morning.
Additionally, strong westerly winds through Juan de Fuca Strait will
increase again to gale force late this afternoon and ease Friday
morning.
