By 8:00 p.m. PST tonight weakening ridge located on a line
north-south over Vancouver Island.
At 10:30 a.m. PST today frontal system located west of Haida Gwaii.
By 1:00 a.m. PST Wednesday departing frontal system located on a
line north-south over Hecate Strait.
At 9:30 p.m. PST tonight frontal system located west of Bowie.
By 4:00 p.m. PST Wednesday frontal system located on a line
northeast-southwest over Sandspit.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 10:22 AM PST 5 November 2024 A frontal system west of Haida Gwaii will push into Hecate Straitthis afternon and onto the North Coast tonight. Ahead of the front,
southeast gales over Bowie will spread to northern and central
coastal waters this evening as gale to storm force southeasterlies.
In its wake, winds will ease to strong southerlies west of Haida
Gwaii today.
Another frontal system will track across Bowie Wednesday morning and
lie over Haida Gwaii by the afternoon. Ahead of the front, southerly
gales will develop over the offshore waters and west coast Haida
Gwaii, and continue along northern and central coastal waters.
