Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:54 PM PST 7 December 2022 A cold front over Haida Gwaii will sweep across northern and central
coasts and reach southern waters late this evening.
Ahead of the front gale to storm force winds are forecast from Haida
Gwaii to the headlands of Vancouver Island. For waters of the inner
South Coast, gale force southeasterlies will develop early this
evening and persist into the overnight period.
In the wake of the front, the low associated with the frontal system
will move from Bowie to Prince Rupert tonight, and spread gale to
storm force northwesterly winds across most of the northern and
