Issued 4:00 PM PST 27 January 2021 Tonight and Thursday At 4:00 p.m. PST today quasi-stationary ridge located over BC
interior.

At 4:00 p.m. PST today trough located from the Alaska panhandle
to Explorer.
By 4:00 p.m. PST Thursday weakening trough located from the Central
Coast to Explorer.

At 4:00 p.m. PST today approaching frontal system located west of
the offshore waters.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:46 PM PST 27 January 2021 A trough of low pressure from the Alaskan Panhandle to Explorer
Will gradually weaken tonight. Northerly gales over the offshore
waters will ease this evening.

A ridge of high pressure will remain over the BC Interior. Strong to
gale force outflow winds will prevail through the coastal mainland
inlets through Thursday morning.

Moderate freezing spray will develop through Douglas Channel this
evening and continue through Thursday morning.

A frontal system will approach the offshore waters late Thursday.
Ahead of the front, southerly gales will develop over Bowie Thursday
evening.
