Issued 9:30 PM PST 5 December 2024 Tonight and Friday At 9:30 p.m. PST tonight frontal system located on a linenorth-south over the offshore waters.
By 9:30 p.m. PST Friday departing frontal system located from the
Central Coast to Tofino.
At 4:00 p.m. PST Friday frontal system located off Bowie.
By 9:30 p.m. PST Friday frontal system located on a line
northwest-southeast over western Bowie.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:09 PM PST 5 December 2024 A frontal system over the offshore waters will move across HaidaGwaii early Friday morning and then southwards across Vancouver
Island Friday night. Ahead of the front, southerly gales will
continue tonight across offshore, central and northern coastal waters
and then spread to southern waters overnight. On Friday, southerly
gales will ease over northern waters in the morning but continue over
central and southern waters and spread to the inner South Coast in
the afternoon.
Localized southeast storm force winds over Queen Charlotte Sound and
the headlands of West Vancouver Island North have eased this evening
but will redevelop overnight and then ease late in the day on Friday.
