Issued 10:30 AM PST 5 February 2023 Today Tonight and Monday At 10:30 a.m. PST today weakening trough located over the SouthCoast.
By 4:00 p.m. PST today departing trough located over Washington
State.
At 10:30 a.m. PST today ridge located from Hecate Strait to
Explorer.
By 9:30 p.m. PST tonight weakening ridge located over the South
Coast.
At 4:00 p.m. PST today frontal system located over Bowie.
By 4:00 p.m. PST Monday frontal system located from the Central
Coast to Explorer.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 10:05 AM PST 5 February 2023 A weakening trough located over the South Coast continues to tracksoutheastward into the Washington state. In its wake, northwesterly
gales are expected over the southern waters today. Marginal westerly
gales will spread into Juan de Fuca Strait this evening.
A frontal system will move into Bowie this afternoon and track
southeastward. Ahead of this system. Southerly to southwesterly gales
will develop over the northern waters today and spread into central
waters tonight.
By Monday afternoon, the frontal system will reach the Central Coast
and Explorer with southwesterly gales over the central and southern
waters. For the inner South Coast, southeasterly gales will also
develop over Northern Strait of Georgia Monday afternoon.
