Marine Weather StatementIssued 10:05 AM PST 5 February 2023 A weakening trough located over the South Coast continues to track
southeastward into the Washington state. In its wake, northwesterly
gales are expected over the southern waters today. Marginal westerly
gales will spread into Juan de Fuca Strait this evening.
A frontal system will move into Bowie this afternoon and track
southeastward. Ahead of this system. Southerly to southwesterly gales
will develop over the northern waters today and spread into central
By Monday afternoon, the frontal system will reach the Central Coast
and Explorer with southwesterly gales over the central and southern
waters. For the inner South Coast, southeasterly gales will also
develop over Northern Strait of Georgia Monday afternoon.
