By 4:00 p.m. PDT Wednesday weakening ridge located from Haida
Gwaii to Explorer.
At 4:00 p.m. PDT Wednesday approaching frontal system located west
of Bowie.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:54 PM PDT 13 May 2025 A ridge of high pressure over the offshore waters continues to givemoderate to strong northwesterlies to most waters with strong to gale
force winds west of Vancouver Island. Strong to gale force westerly
winds will develop through Juan de Fuca Strait this evening.
The ridge will weaken as it slowly moves to lie from Haida Gwaii to
Explorer Wednesday afternoon. Light to moderate variable winds are
expected the vicinity of the ridge. Winds increase to strong
southerlies west of the ridge.
