northeast-southwest over the southern Strait of Georgia.
At 4:00 a.m. PDT Wednesday approaching ridge located over Pacific
Ocean.

Issued 3:44 AM PDT 14 April 2026 The cold front will continue to move through southern waters today.This will give a brief period of marginal northwesterly gales between
late afternoon and tonight over West Coast Vancouver Island South,
Johnstone Strait, and Juan de Fuca Strait.
Northwesterly gales are expected over the offshore waters today and
Wednesday as a ridge of high pressure strengthens over the Pacific
Ocean.
As the ridge of high pressure approaches the BC coast on Wednesday,
northwesterly gales will likely occur again on Wednesday afternoon
and evening over Johnstone Strait and West Coast Vancouver Island
South.
