By 4:00 a.m. PDT Thursday ridge located west of Explorer.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:35 AM PDT 15 April 2026 Northwesterly gales over the offshore waters continue today as a
ridge of high pressure strengthens over the Pacific Ocean. Gales will
spread into west coast Vancouver Island this afternoon as the ridge
approaches the BC coast.

A trough sweeping across the southern waters will bring a risk of
thunderstorms and waterspouts this morning and afternoon.
