Winter storm warning in effect for:

  • La Tuque area
  • Lake Bouchette area

Additional snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 centimetres are expected.

Snow combined with moderate winds could cause near zero visibilities locally in blowing snow.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations.

Winter storm warnings are issued when multiple types of severe winter weather are expected to occur together.

Extreme Cold Warning in effect for:

  • La Tuque area
  • Lake Bouchette area

A period of very cold wind chills is expected.

Wind chill values will be near -40 beginning Tuesday afternoon and through overnight Tuesday night.

Outdoor workers should take regularly scheduled breaks to warm up.

Extreme cold warnings are issued when very cold temperatures or wind chill creates an elevated risk to health such as frost bite and hypothermia.
