Significant rainfall amounts are expected. Total rainfall amounts: 30 to 50 mm. Time span: from Friday morning until Saturday afternoon. Significant ponding of water may occur on roads and inland. Meanwhile, a period of freezing rain is expected in Blanc-Sablon Friday afternoon into Friday night. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop. Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected. Freezing Rain Warning in effect for:

  • Blanc-Sablon

Periods of freezing rain expected in Blanc-Sablon. Freezing rain amounts: 5 to 10 millimetres. Time span: from Friday afternoon into overnight Friday night. Please note that temperatures will remain above zero over areas further west. Rain is expected there. Amounts could reach up to 40 millimetres through Saturday evening. Significant ponding of water may occur on roads and inland. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots will become icy, slippery and hazardous. Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
