Snow squall watch in effect for:
- Burgeo - Ramea
Occasional snow squalls producing poor visibility in blowing snow will continue.
Locations: inland portions along the Burgeo Highway, the Bay D'Espoir area, and the Connaigre Peninsula.
Time span: tonight.
Additional snowfall accumulations: 2 to 4 cm in snow squalls.
Remarks: Snow squalls are expected to taper off overnight tonight or early Friday morning.
Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common. Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero.
Snow squall watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the formation of bands of snow that could produce intense accumulating snow or near zero visibilities.
