Frost advisory in effect for:

  • Saint John and County

Frost may destroy fruit crops, vegetables, and other plants.

Frost will develop under clear skies and light winds overnight tonight before dissipating Monday morning. Low lying areas of northwestern New Brunswick should expect the coldest overnight low temperatures, which may reach minus 6 degrees celsius by early Monday morning.

Conditions favouring the development of patchy frost are expected again Monday night into Tuesday morning for the majority of the province.

Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas. Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.

Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.
