Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:54 PM NST 18 February 2026 An intense low pressure system northeast of the Grand Banks willcontinue tracking northeast before lying east of Funk Island Bank
overnight tonight. This low will slowly drift further out to sea on
Thursday. Gale to storm force northeasterlies to westerlies will
diminish to strong to gale force northerlies to westerlies by
Thursday morning.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Funk Island Bank and the Southern Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in
effect for all remaining waters except Strait of Belle Isle - western
half, Gulf waters, and Southwest Coast.
