At 3:30 p.m. NST today deepening low 997 mb located over Quebec.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Friday low 971 mb located over southeastern Funk
Island Bank.
At 3:30 p.m. NST today ridge located on a line north-south over
the Avalon Peninsula.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Friday departing ridge located east of the
Grand Banks.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:24 PM NST 4 December 2025 A low pressure system over Quebec will cross the district tonight andFriday to lie over Funk Island Bank by Friday afternoon. Strong to
gale force southeasterly to northeasterly winds will spread over most
waters ahead of the low tonight before shifting to gale to storm
force west to northwesterlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
all waters except Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf, and Belle
Isle Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for Northeast Gulf and Belle
Isle Bank.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Gulf waters.
