At 3:00 a.m. NST today trough located over western Nova Scotia.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Monday trough located on a line northwest-southeast
over Funk Island Bank.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:49 AM NST 17 January 2021 A low pressure system located east of the Grand Banks will continueeastwards and move out to sea this morning. Strong to gale force
north to northwesterlies will diminish over eastern waters this
morning as the low departs.
Meanwhile, a trough of low pressure will approach from the west
today. Strong to gale force southeasterlies will develop ahead of
this trough and diminish to strong southwesterlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Gulf waters, Southwest Coast, South Coast, Northern Grand Banks and
Southwestern Grand Banks.
